I woke up at 3am to the Mac Daddy of thunderstorms, so I knew the day was going to be yucky and humid before I even got out of bed. So I set the alarm for a half hour later and skipped the pointless exercise of straightening my hair. It's been so long since we've seen the sun here in Indy, I have to make the bright side all on my own!
Preparations for our Home Build event this weekend were in full swing despite the dismal weather. I knew I'd be running around quite a bit today, so denim was out (who wants to be wet in denim?), as was anything white, and I can't stand rain on bare arms - a short sleeved sweater and black walking shorts seemed to be the perfect choice.
I love these sandals that I bought at Express last summer. Despite the chain links, they are incredibly comfortable. I just think they add a little something to any outfit.

I did the same exact thing on Thursday with my hair. Since I am on an every other day washing routine with my hair I should have washed it on Thursday, but with the raging storms knew it was pointless and opted for extra shut eye. I figured the extra grease would help counter-balance the frizz!
