Dress: The Limited (via Ebay)

Bracelets: The Limited

Tank: New York & Company

Necklace: Forever 21

Shoes: Baker's Shoes

In my effort to replenish my work wardrobe recently, I have discovered the addiction joys of shopping on Ebay. I've always found it a bit overwhelming and only used it when I had a very specific thing in mind to buy, but never for clothes. I'd been hearing all these stories of amazing finds for dirt cheap lately, so I mustered up my courage and dove in head first. I must say, once you get the hang of keyword searches, it's a freaking goldmine! I got this dress for .99 plus $4 shipping. Um, hello? Why would you not shop Ebay?

I am also digging my new cage heel/bootie hybrid. I love the caramel color and the fabulously high heel. The exposed zipper on the back is also very 'in' for fall. I definitely felt myself strutting my stuff in these shoes today! Do you have a pair of shoes that transforms your attitude when you put them on?

Dress: The Limited

Shoes: Nine West

Necklace: Forever 21

Bracelet: The Limited

It was a wee bit chilly this morning, so I pulled out something a little heavier for church this morning. When I bought this dress last summer, I was a little bit nervous about how bold the pattern was. Fortunately it was one of the rare shopping trips when I had a friend with me - she was all the encouragement I needed to give it a try. And my new found love for patterns was born!

I paired it with my favorite nude slingbacks from Nine West. They are four inch-ers and always make my legs feel a mile long. If you don't have a good nude heel in your closet already, I highly recommend you find one! They will change your life...or at least the length of your legs.

Tank: The Limited

Sweater: New York & Company

Jeans: The Limited

Necklace: The Limited

Shoes: Victoria Spenser

I finally got my white jeans back from the tailor and I am loving them already - too bad it took me the entire summer to find some that I liked! I'll just try to get the most out of them while I can and hope they stay in style for next season too.

The day started out a little chilly, so I knew jeans and a short sleeve cardigan were the way to go while I ran errands this morning. I added my biggest multi chain black and white necklace and I was ready to hit the ground running. Gotta make the most of my Saturday's now that I'm chained to the desk all week!

Jeans: Express (x2 w10)

Bracelet: Gifted

Necklace: Gifted

Shoes: INC (via Macy's)

Today is my first casual Friday at the new office and I wasn't sure exactly how casual it would be, so I played it a little safe. Turns out I didn't need to be worried - casual Friday is super casual around here! Good to know I can have fun with my Friday ensembles!

I'm warming up for the kick-off of Vol football next week by sporting a small dose of orange - my new orange heels from Macy's! Retailing for $89, I picked them up for $19 last weekend. They've already been the topic of at least three football conversations this morning. I can't wait to sport them all season long!

Top: New York & Company

Pants: The Limited

Shoes: Michael Shannon

Necklace: ?

Ring: The Limited

I am positively wild for this safari-inspired silk top from NY&Co. The print is super bright in person - definitely a wake up call at 6:00am, which I was so needing today. This top kept me feeling cheerful all day despite the long, draining week.

I really wanted to tuck it in but I just wasn't feeling it with these pants. It wouldn't lay smoothly right above the waste and I couldn't find a belt I was happy with. Maybe next time I will try pairing it with a higher waisted navy skirt that won't require a belt.

The last time I wore this chunky necklace, our friend asked me where I got my 'Mr T collector necklace'. Now I can't help but giggle when I look down at it!

Top: The Limited

Pants: The Limited

Shoes: Payless

Earrings: Simply Irresistible

Bracelet: Gifted (from Africa!)

This is one of my all time favorite tops in my closet. I love the color, the flirty ruffles and the 'bling'. I just feel so pretty every time I put it on. Do you have a piece of clothing in your closet that makes you smile just thinking about it?

My sister brought this bracelet back for me the last time she went to Africa. It's hand cut and hand polished and just so different than anything you can buy in the store. The only bad part is I'm so afraid of chipping it that I'm always super paranoid about my movements any time I wear it!

Top: New York & Company

Skirt: Express

Shoes: Wild Diva

Necklace: ?

I wish the color on this picture was a little bit brighter because I am totally thrilled with this bright color combination. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

This is the navy skirt from my shopping spree a few weeks ago. I love the higher waist - I feel like it gives me good definition without the hassle of a belt. I also like that it covers one my least favorite body parts, my bony knees.

I don't know what inspired me to pair it with this yellow top. It just kind of came to me when I was laying in bed Sunday night. I briefly flirted with wearing it to my first day of work, but decided to play it a little bit safer and saved it for Day 2. It was a total hit! Score one for the new girl.

Dress: The Limited

Jacket: The Limited

Necklace: New York & Company

Bracelet: New York & Company

Shoes: Colin Stuart for Victoria's Secret

Today was the first day at the new job, so the outfit was a little tricky. The dress code at my new office is business casual Monday through Thursday, casual (jeans allowed!) on Friday. Business casual is tricky, so I went a little more business until I 'learn' the office a bit more. I'll watch what the others ladies wear for a few days and adjust accordingly.

That said, I also wanted to show a little personality, so I stuck with my usual jewelry and kicky heels. These are my all time favorite heels - they started my stiletto obsession many years ago. 4.5 inches of pure stiletto goodness!

My love affair with shoes is no secret. A girl can never have too many pairs in my opinion! I've tried really hard to be good lately, but OH MY WORD there are some amazingly beautiful shoes coming out for fall!

One fall trend I couldn't resist? Hardware!

Although I want every single pair featured in InStyle's August preview 'Heavy Hardware' (page 155), I just can't stomach $200 for a 'trend' that will be over by spring. But $15 for these cuties at Baker's Shoes? That I can handle.

I wanted to make the most of my last day of freedom, so I slept in, threw this on for church and still had time to straighten my hair. There's nothing easier than a jersey knit dress in a funky pattern - minimal planning and accessories required!

I'm excited to take this one into fall and play on the different shades of gray in the pattern. A cute cardigan, some gray cable knit tights and boots and I've got a cute fall look, too. Don't you just love pieces that work all year round?

Dress: New York & Company

Sandals: Aldo

Earrings: The Limited

Ring: New York & Company

We had a marriage conference at church early this morning, followed by an impromptu sushi lunch date and shopping for new living room furniture. Since you never really know how well the temperature will be controlled at church, I went for layers. This fun dress paired with a coral cardigan. I was sure glad I had the cardi, as it turned out to be pretty chilly outside today too. Just a little sneak peek at Fall, I suppose!

I love the print and the colors in this dress. It's so comfy, it's like wearing my pajamas all day long. I also got a ton of compliments on it, which always makes for a fantastic day!

Last night we tried out a new-to-us hibachi place called Benihana's. We had the world's greatest hibachi grill when we lived in Knoxville and we're still looking for a place even half as good here in Indy. Benihana's was good - maybe a 7 out of 10. It's no Wasabi, but it'll do.

I got this dress for my birthday (in April!) and was waiting for a special occasion to wear it. With summer drawing to a close, I decided to throw waiting to the wind and wear it for a regular old date night. I am in love with this electric blue color for fall. And Nate even managed to notice my new shoes ($9.00!) despite the copious amount of *ahem* other things on display. Good job, Honey!

Top: Ann Taylor

Shorts: Old Navy

Shoes: Nine West

Necklace: New York & Company

Ring: The Limited

Trying to make the most of my last day as a free woman, so I slept in, caught up my Reader and then ran lots of fun errands.

I haven't worn shorts much this summer so I started with those. My favorite black knit tank top and a big fun necklace and I was ready roll.

Sadly, no close up of the necklace today. I took a pic of it but when I downloaded it just now, I realized my shirt went completely sheer under the camera flash. No peep show here, folks. Move along....

No outfit post today. I spent the entire day at home, cleaning and getting things in order for going back to work next week. Grubby work, for sure!

So in lieu of a daily post, here's a sneak pack at some of my Back to Work shopping over the last few weeks!

I ordered this dress from The Limited yesterday and I can't wait for it to arrive. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Despite the bold print, I expect it to be very versatile - I can change up the belt and play with the whole color pallet. I'd love to find some electric blue patent heels to pair with it, too.

This skirt from Express in this peacock blue and also a more traditional navy. I think I will have fun playing up the higher waist on occasion.

I did finally find some pants that I was willing to give a try. These are the wide waistband Editor pant from Express. I was really hoping to find some amazing straight leg slacks but that just wasn't in the cards. I'm hoping that the flair leg on these will be de-emphasized a bit when I have them hemmed an inch or two.

This Ann Taylor Loft dress may not make it too far into fall because it's pretty light weight but I'll certainly take it as far as I can. On sale and with a coupon, it was just too sweet to resist. I heart ruffles.

Don't panic! This one's not for work. I just really couldn't resist this one. Rarely do I allow myself to impulsively buy something that I can't wear at least 3 ways but this dress was basically begging me to take it home. Quick, someone have a fabulous party so I can wear it!

I thought this jacket from The Limited was a fun and stylish twist on the basic black staple. If you look closely, you can see that the collar is buttoned down up near the neck. You can wear the color popped or laying flat. I am super excited about this little beauty.

And since no shopping spree is complete without new shoes, I present to you my newest conquest from Baker's Shoes. So cute, right? Love, love, love! I would have worn them at least 5 times already but, like a new kid before the first day of school, I'm 'saving them' for work. How cheesy am I?
